Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Larry Ellison’s Oracle are joining forces to develop an artificial intelligence tool that will be useful for planning and forecasting agricultural production.
Dairy News writes about it .
This AI-powered tool will create detailed agricultural maps that will allow countries to visualize and track agricultural activity, such as what each country is growing.
According to Oracle’s executive chairman, this tool can play a critical role in helping farmers increase yields by optimizing field analysis of water and nitrogen content.
SpaceX has already entered into a partnership agreement with agricultural equipment manufacturer John Deere to provide Starlink satellite internet to farms this year, allowing them to use Deere’s suite of agricultural technologies.
Deere Chief Technical Officer Jamie Hindman emphasized the importance of Starlink connectivity for farmers to maximize operational efficiency.
