As of November 26, the sowing of winter wheat in the USA has already been completed, seedlings have been obtained on 91% of the areas. Kurkul.com writes about this with reference to the report of USDA experts .
By the way, in the 2023 season, this is the final report of specialists. In the new season, the first weekly report will be released on April 1, 2024.
The state of wheat crops has slightly improved, compared to the indicators of the previous week:
- in excellent condition — 9% (9%);
- in a good way — 41% (39%);
- satisfactory — 35% (35%);
- bad — 9% (10%);
- very bad — 6% (7%).
Experts also assessed the state of moisture in the upper soil layer. Thus, more than half of the lands have sufficient moisture (55%), insufficient level — 29%, 12% of the fields have almost no moisture. Compared to the previous week, the situation with moisture supply has improved.
Also, on the reporting date, American farmers finish threshing corn (96% ahead of forecast).
We will remind, in Ukraine on November 24, corn was collected from 81% of the areas . 24.87 million tons of crop were threshed.
