Kazakhstan increased wheat exports to China almost 21 times

In January-August 2023, Kazakhstan increased wheat exports to China in monetary terms to $110.2 mln. This is almost 21 times higher than the same period last year, the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.

Supplies of Kazakh barley to China during this period increased 4.1 times – to $102.4 mln.

In general, exports of goods from Kazakhstan to China in January-August 2023 increased by 2.1% and amounted to $9 bln.

The total trade turnover between Kazakhstan and China for January-August 2023 amounted to $19 bln, which is 22.6% higher than in the same period of the previous year.

It is noted that in this year China’s share in total trade turnover was 21%.
